Thumbs up Common Threads

Has anyone else seen this book? It's truly beautiful. It's a book about Celebrating Life with Down Syndrome. The photogrophy is incredible, and the essays are truly inspiring. I do have a personal interest, but thought I would share.

Thank you for sharing, Jeana! I just looked it up on Amazon, and it's not there. However, in my search, I came across this wonderful article about the book. Here's the first paragraph from it:

Quote:
Brian Skotko denies that he is the coauthor of a book. There is his name, right on the cover, but the 23-year-old medical student says the "true authors" are the individuals with Down syndrome whose tales of triumph fill the pages of Common Threads: Celebrating Life with Down Syndrome. "We are just privileged to be their voices," he explains.
Thanks again, Jeana, for making us aware of this beautiful book.

What a great article! I wasn't aware that Amazon wasn't selling it. I got it through Barnes and Noble, and the article also mentioned Band of Angels, which publishes and sells alot of DS books.
