food issues
I need help! I have nursed two babies and never had one that caused me to restrict my diet. I think I have one now.
![]() Will has had gassy poop since he was born, lots of toots with every poop. We went through the normal color progression of poop after he was born. About a week ago, he started having green, watery poop, still very gassy and loud. He is not a fussy baby, but does get cranky just before he poops, sometimes just immediately, sometimes for 3-5 minutes prior. On Sunday, I started bloock feeding. I also cut out Pepsi, which was the only gas-causing-food that I was regularly having. Will will occasionally have a polka-dotted poop, mostly green with yellow bits in it, but is still very gassy. Yesterday morning his 'baby acne' exploded all over his face and almost looks more like a rash than acne, small red bumps, no white heads. so now, I'm thinking that maybe he has a lactose intolerance, since I had a bowl of cereal and yogurt the day before the acne/rash broke out, and a glass of milk yesterday morning. Not sure when I had it before that. So, now, I'm going to give the block feeding/no caffeine a couple more days. If I don't see any improvement in his poop, then I'm going to stop block feeding and have a blessed Pepsi and cut all dairy out of my diet. Does this sound like I'm on the right track? Does anyone have any experience in this? Any other suggestions? thanks!!! I forgot to add, we started him on Zantac for reflux last week. I've been horrid about giving it to him. He gets it about every 24-36 hours. Even at that low dose, I have seen an improvement in his choking and gagging, and there has been no vomitting since then.

Honestly, my first thought was a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. Do you block feed?
