All Creatures Great and Small discussion thread

Here is the place to discuss our December group read, All Creatures Great and Small. Beware of spoilers if you haven't finished the book yet.

I read this book just before the holidays and it was such a lovely, sweet, entertaining way to pass the time. I was reading it while waiting for my annual exam and my midwife exclaimed, "Oh, don't those books just make you want to drop everything and become a country vet in Yorkshire!" She was exactly right, although I'm not sure I could handle the more physical aspects of helping cows and horses give birth.

This is definitely a new favorite with me and I'm so glad I read it.

Susan, I could simply say DITTO! It took me most of December to read it with so much going on but it was the perfect way to end a hectic day. Even one small chapter would feel good. I wanted to be a vet for most of my childhood but being a large animal vet certainly has its challenges. Having short arms and small hands would make parts of the job rather difficult.

And what a nice surprise to have a love story brewing through it too.
Very enjoyable - thanks for picking this ladies! I'm definitely going to read more of these.

Mari
