mommy brain attacks

OK, I just can't remember if it was in this forum or not, and the search is getting me nowhere.

Did someone post about a book called Love and (something something) about discipline here? What was it? Author? Anyone?

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggg

I don't know where the post you were looking for was or what it said, but my guess is that it's Love And Logic. I'm not sure if it's considered AP or not, as I haven't read it.

Parenting with Love and Logic: Teaching Children Responsibility by Klein and Fay.

I do not think it is particularly AP; it is all about consequences of behavior choices. We did a lot of this type of parenting with my oldest DD when she was completely out of control at age 5-6. She did not have a firm attachment to us at the time and other techniques were not working...

Luckily, things have turned around for DD and us, but I still use a thing or two I learned from the book. I really like some of their ideas, just in moderation and using common sense... they are clearly right about kids learning important life lessons at a young age when the ramifications of their actions are small... but some of the things they propose are a bit out there for an AP parent.

Hope this helps!

I also remember Hedra talking about a book called: Love and Anger . Could that be it?

It was the Love and Anger one! But I couldn't find it. Am I missing part of the title or something?
