Cloth Diapering (x-posted for traffic)

I am investing in some on ebay.

What brand do you use? What type do you use?

I also need opinions on what I am bidding on.

I got 4 Re-uz-m's. They are discolored from being washed in well water. That part doesn't bother me. What I have read about these they will last forever. I got all 4 for only $8.50. I figured it would be great to just give them a try for that price.

I have bids out on 4 bumkins and 4 kooshies. right now the bumkins is at $32.00 and the Kooshies is at $22. They close in a few hours.

Do you have any opinions on the diapers above?

We use fuzzi bunz with hemp inserts for both kids. I love them, as does DH and cant say enough good things about them. I've heard the lady who started making the diapers is giving WAHM's issues about their home-made pocket diapers, but not sure exactly what is going on there....

But anyway, we love them so much. They are very absorbant (the hemp is), leak proof, easy as pie to wash, and great to take out places and for quick diaper changes.

I haven't used any of the kinds that you listed, sorry!

But what I do use is Chinese Cotton Prefolds and Prorap diaper covers.

I got some of my stuff from granitesmith on eBay. She's really good and great prices!

I also have some Sweet Dreams fitted diapers but I use the prefolds pretty much all the time because they dry in the dryer a lot quicker than the fitteds.

We use a diaper service for the most part but I love the Kissaluvs fitted I have. Throw a Bummis cover over them and we're good to go! They have great resale value as well.

I bought some Crickett's hemp diapers from ebay and while they werent what I expected, they make great night time diapers with an extra hemp doubler. I wouldnt mind trying a hemp fleece dipe.

I've tried puddlecatchers which are quite thin and really not my favorite, but they have a lot of stretch and I think would be great for a bigger baby. They havent leaked at all and dont stain (yet).

Mother-ease one size are pretty good. I use mine with a prefold as a doubler for over night or for going out. I know she wont soak through it. These have pretty good resale as well.

Hemp doublers are fabulous for heavy wetters (like mine). I have a few that are just 3layers of hemp fleece and a few that are 2 layers hemp fleece and 1 layer microfleece. I use the latter for night time.

I have never used bumkins but my girlfriend uses kooshies and she loves them. She wont use anything else.

Happy bidding!

Thanks, I won all three auctions. I hope I didn't pay too much for them since they are used. With shipping I got 4 re-uz'ms for 13.50. 4 bumkins for 49.00 and 4 kooshies for 36.00. I can't wait to get them.

Do you think the sun will bleach out well water stains?
