Graco Infant car seats

In our search for a double stroller that accomodates car seats (one that is) we have looked into the various car seats as well. We liked our evenflow car seat that come with the travel system we had for dd. We looked at the Evenflow take me too stroller, and really like it, but are still looking.

Another we are looking at is the graco duoglider, witht he graco snugride infant car seat. Question though - several of the reviews I have ready have complaints from parents that it wont sit nicely on the seat part of grocery carts (you know how you unfolkd the deat part and can set your car seat on that). Our evenflow always clicked right in as if it was made to do that, and I really want a car seat that will do that. ANy one have any thoughts on the Graco snugride?

Thanks

Liz

I received a Graco snugride as a gift because it goes with a stroller I bought for my first child. I really like Graco products as they last a long time, and they have great online customer service and parts replacement. I haven't tried yet to put it on a shopping cart. I only have one complaint....it is a little uncomfortable to carry--it has a straight handle. I have seen Evenflos with a different handle and wonder if they are any easier to carry.............

I had an Evenflo for DD- loved it. It has a nice handle and fits well on shopping carts.

We had a perk with DH's company that got us a new car seat for DS. We chose the Graco Snugride because it was top rated by Consumer Reports. I don't like the handle as well and it doesn't fit well on carts- puts baby a little too reclined for my tastes.

We had the SnugRide with dd and we really liked the seat since it was rated so highly by Consumer Reports. It was easy to use and since I didn't carry the seat around a whole lot the handle thing didn't bother me. I did have to put the seat in a couple of different carts on several occasions and the fit depended on the cart. It fit well in the carts at Lowe's but not the carts at Target... it just depended on the seat of the cart.

We've always used Gracos and have found, as jacbyrd mentioned, that it all depends on the size of the cart. There is not a universal cart size, so any infant seat will fit better in some carts than in others.

Infant seats are not made to go on top of shopping carts.

Infant seats are not made to go on top of shopping carts.

But it sure does make it easier than having to put them in the main part of the cart and having no room for groceries.
