My sister just picked up her kids from ehr ex hiusbands house. their 60 days was up ont eh divorce yesterday, and it isnt really final till the judge signs the papers... andyway, i digress...
She picks them up. Since they live so far apart, they meet halfway at Bookshires. He was an hour and a half late with the kids. Then, they are filthy. They haven't been bathed the whole weekend, they are gross, they are so filthy... the twins (2 yrs) were only wearling diapers and t-shirts and shoes... but all 4 of them were dirty as all sin. They are coverred from head to tow with mosquito bites.
And to top it all off, the oldest (8 yrs) cannot tell us when they ate.. he said, after alot of thinking, that they ate chicken, but he is sure to point out, that "yes, they fed us before we left."
We don't know if he is telling the truth or not.

She asked her ex husbands granfather (who dropped them off casue he has no vehicle to transport all 4 in) how he was doing, and he said "I'm doing a whole lot better than you are about to be."
That almost sounded like a threat. All I can hope is that judge signs the divorce papers fast, since he didn't sontest custody in them, becsue until he does, her ex can take off whitht he kids.Anyway.. I just needed ot vent for a bit. Things look bad.

TOH.. sorry.

Hang-in-there vibes headed out!

I hate sucky situations like that. I wish they never happened. But she's taking the actions she needs to take, at least.

Best of luck to her and the kids!
