this is OT, but you ladies are all so intelligent, so you might have the answer, or know where i can go. :)

my sister is getting ready to TTC. she's getting an appt w/a midwife and is starting prenatals vits and all that.

here's the question!

we are taking a family trip to disney world right around the time they are going to TTC. her hubby wants to postpone so that she'll be able to go on the rides and all that. (she might want to wait because of m/s). anywho, what exactly is the danger w/the rides and being pregnant.

thanks so much!

We were supposed to be going to Disney World when I was around 12 weeks pg, but we had to cancel because 9/11 happened. Anyways, my midwife said all the faster/rougher rides would be ok to go on even though they have warnings. She said the warnings are to protect Disney, but the rides really aren't dangerous enough to interfere with the pregnancy. They are just being careful. Now if she has m/s, that's another story and I would hate to be in Disney feeling miserable!

Have fun! We just took Miranda and had a blast!

The first, major, problem is that the security restraints don't always fit well around a pregnant tummy. The second problem is that THEY have to clean the mess if someone pukes, and pregnant women are already likely to puke on a moment's notice. My midwife also gave me the "all clear" to enjoy the rides at the state fair if I felt up to it. Go & enjoy!
