slow cooker roast

I put my beef roast in my slow cooker on low this morning, it weighs 2.5lbs. I put my veggies all around it with a little beef broth poured over the top. My questions is how long does it need to cook. I want it all the way done, will it take the full 8 hours or more than that? Thanks, Shannon

8 hours is perfect. Mine are on at least that long during the work week. It'll be falling apart and the vegies will be fine.

I also add a bit more water to actually cover the meat because we like gravy. I also add a packet of onion soup mix to it, then later I might reduce the gravy on the stove.
