I've finally made a decision !!!

thank you all so much for your information regarding my birth decision for my son. I talked to my ob at my appt. on Monday and he answered all of my questions very thoroughly. He was on a committee doing research on VBAC's in my area and was so helpful !!! I have decided to try for the VBAC and my doc said that if nothing is happening and it gets to the point where I am uncomfortable with going too far past my due date, then I could always get a c-section. He is hoping this won't be the case. I was glad to know that if I get a little nervous, or very uncomfrotable at the end, there is an option. He also discussed the different medications used in inducement and answered all of my questions in this area as well. I just wanted to let you all know that I finally made my decision. It feels so good to have this decided on !!!! Thanks so much for all of your information !!!

How cool to have a VBAC-supportive OB, who really knows his stuff! :)

Congrats on your decision, and I'm glad he was a source of reassurance. That should make a huge difference in labor, too.

I don't think I mentioned the VBAC cubby in my other reply to you. The link is in my signature. There are some great articles (including a critique on some of the induction scare studies in summer 2001) and an extensive recommended book list as well as a few inspirational birth stories - both vbacs and attempted vbacs that ended in cesareans.
