Does anyone else just love the smell of the library or a book store? When ever I step into either one, I always take a nice big breath and breathe it in.

Or is dh right, and I'm just a dork? :o

I know what you mean! The smell of all those books is wonderful.

I find libraries and bookstores incredibly relaxing and could spend hours in one if given the chance. :) Especially a used bookstore - I love searching for hard-to-find titles and the thrill of discovery when you come across something you've been seeking for ages.

Yes, I know exactly what you're talking about!

Sometimes, when I walk into a library, it smells exactly like the library I would go to when I was little, and the memories of that place come right back to me. Smell is such a powerful sense!

ok i wasn't going to post this but maybe this happens to someone else out there OR maybe I'm just wierd.

Whenever I go to the library or bookstore and smell the air I ALWAYS have to use the bathroom. I'm good for 3 minutes than have to leave. So frustrating.

Yep, I know what you mean. I particularly love the smell of a brand new book and I'll flap the pages in front of my nose. So I'll be a dork too, LOL! ;)

You are NOT alone! I have so many books, that one room in my house (the study) actually is getting that "book smell" to it--yay!

I love the smell of books--especially USED books. If I could bottle it I just might wear it! ;)

Definitely not a dork or alone on this one. I don't know one person who really loves to read and where stories can take them that doesn't love that smell!
Folks can keep their Calgon... I'll settle for a freshly cracked open book... Ahhhhhhhh!
