Our cubby has been updated with a new article by Deborah Davis (author of Empty Cradle, Broken Heart). I think it's one of her best articles!

I hope you'll check out the rest of the cubby while you're there. We have some great stuff for you ;)

This article does help. I am almost 20 weeks and still terrified that something will go wrong. I am too afraid to be happy, to hope, to dream of upcoming events and I even felt wrong about registering at a local store's baby gift registry. When I was at my ob/gyn appointment a couple weeks ago, the doctor had a hard time finding the baby's heartbeat and while he was searching I thought; "I knew it! I knew this would happen." He did, of course, find the heartbeat and all was good with my world for about 24 hours then I was afraid again. I have recently begun to feel movement which helps, to some degree. After 5 MCs, 3.5 years of infertility, and the death of a child that we were going to adopt, I'm glad to know I'm not just going crazy. What I'm feeling may be extreme, but it's common. I've been through a lot of grief. My belief in GOD helps but my knowledge of GOD tells me that his plans don't always coincide with mine. Hopefully, as time goes by, I will relax more. I am trying. Buying a few things for the baby now and then also helps some. Talking, to the right people, helps as well.
Thanks for listening.
