Name my baby!

I figured I'd give you all something to talk about. Today I was looking at baby names since this is the first time going into a pregnancy that we don't have either a boy's name or girl's name picked out. I could honestly find no boy names that I liked at all besides Cameron, which dh has already said no to. :( I really hope it's not a boy, as he probably won't ever be named. I came across a girl's name I liked. Serenity. I think it's pretty and it's a little bit different which fits my style pretty well. Feel free to throw some other girl names at me or middle name suggestions for Serenity.

I've always loved the name Serenity. You should know, though, that it is the name of a major brand of adult diapers. I don't think that's necessarily a deal-breaker, but it's also not something I'd want you to discover after you named the baby. I think I'd pair a classic name with Serenity, much like you used Alexandra with Rayne. Maybe something short, like Jane or May. Although Serenity Jane contains two Firefly references (the name of a character and the name of the ship), so maybe not.

I think River would be a fabulous choice for a sister of Rayne. ;) Do you like nature names in general, or just Rayne?

Rayne was a name that dh loved immediately and took me some time to come around to. So not necessarily into nature names but some of them are ok. I actually like the name Forest for a boy but I can't do it because of that darn movie! I asked dh what he thought of Serenity but he refused to comment because he didn't want to get stuck with using it or something lame like that. :p Oh well. I can't wait to find out what we're having. Still a long time away.

I know a 7 year old named Forrest Edward, but he goes by Teddy since his dad is also Forrest. I like it and I honestly never think of the movie.

Yes, we are finding out again. Hoping to find out around 16 weeks again. :) And the first thing I think of when I hear the name Forest is Forest Gump. I just can't do it.
