little concerned. we are home now... well at my stepmom and birthdads... and little worried. Sophia usually has a poop between feeds and since being here she hasnt. I know its prolly nothing, but wouldyou be a little concerned. i mean after everything... hard not to be. but definatly worried.

We've been out 7ish hours now, and shes eaten less per feed, but a little more often. just worried now that shes in my care she will lose weight and the'll say see, we should have kept her longer.

shes sleeping well, tolerating the crowed of family/kids here. my sister with her 4 and my brothers 1 are here. when she eats, shes tiring really fast, hoping tomorrow at my sisters with matty that she'll get on track again as its quieter... other than a brother that will go nuts!

First let me say how thrilled I am for you that you are home at last! :D

As for the poop, I wouldn't worry. She's getting older and it's totally normal to poop less frequently. There's an enormous range of normal - I have a friend whose daughter would go two weeks between poops as a baby. When it was Poop Day, things got ugly. Just keep an eye on her, make sure she's wetting frequently and I bet she'll set your mind at ease soon.

What are you feeding her? Breast milk, formula or a combo? Any change can interupt her poop schedule. I would give her more time but be ready for a blow out when she does go. Does the hospital have a nurses hotline you could call? I was always given a number that I was told I could call at any time w/ any questions.

if she's still exclusively on breastmilk, then it's totally normal to go a long time between poops. a friend of mine had a baby that would go like 3 weeks in between. as long as she is peeing and thriving, and not losing weight or showing signs of dehydration, don't worry. :)
