Valentine's Potluck

I thought maybe you great ladies could help me out. I am not much of a cook at all but my playgroup is having a Vday potluck and we have to each bring something that is red, pink or has hearts on it or in it, or in the shape...you get the point. Do you have any ideas..other than cakes and cupcakes b/c I have a feeling that is what everyone wants to do since it is easy.

One more thing!! One of the kids is highly allergic to peanuts so it has to be free of those.

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is strawberries! Maybe chocolate dipped, or plain.

what about a pasta salad with heart shaped pastas? They can usually be bought through specialty stores like HarryandDavid.com or you could use red food dye and dye the water you boil the pasta in I would think.

If I think of anything else I wil post it.

How about a heart-shaped gelatin mold?

I once used a heart cookie cutter to make heart shaped biscuits.
