I am officially extended nursing!! M just turned one and shows no signs of stopping. She's drinking fewer bottles during the day while I'm at work, but when I'm home, she's going strong. I wanted this to work so badly (just ask the ladies on my BB). We had a slight bump in the beginning when M had jaundice at 4-5 days old and the ped. told me to stop nursing completely for 48 hours and give her formula. I did that and am SO lucky that after those 48 hours were done, she went back to the breast like she didn't miss a beat. Looking back, I wouldn't do that again, but I'm glad it worked out in the end. I'm still pumping at work because I can't imagine not doing it for now.

I owe so much to those on my BB because I could not have done this without their support and answers to my countless posts and questions. Thanks for letting me brag. My first goal was to make it 12 weeks, then 6 months, then one year. And I made it!! :D :D :D

That is awesome, and I'm so proud of you!

Does she have a word or sign for nursing?

Does she have a word or sign for nursing?
Not really. When it's time to nurse, I ask her, "Milk? Want milk?" and she starts this little bouncy rocking thing, if that makes sense.
