As of last Sunday (Aug 23), I have now been nursing at least one child for 7 full YEARS.
And in that time, I have only once had a 24-hour long period where I did not nurse at all (in hospital, kids about 2 hours away from me).
That's all - nothing else to see here.

Dang, that's commitment. Seriously, I'm impressed. By the time Anna and Kyle weaned, I was so ready to be done, and they only made it to 9 and 10 months. Seven years?! Good for you. You've probably cut your breast cancer risk to less than zero by now.

That is great commitment! I've been pregnant and/or nursing since February 1999. So 10.5 years now! And my mother died of breast cancer at age 53 so it's VERY important to me that I've lowered my risk as much as possible.

Very cool!
I have been pregnant or nursing since Oct 1998 for all but 4 months in 2005.
Had I not had such a long space between Sean and Sophie it would have probably been constant.
Tommy:
Born June '99
Weaned April '05
Sean:
Born Sept '01
Weaned April '05 (just a week or two after his brother)
Sophie:
Born Aug '06
Weaning currently. Every time I think she's done she asks again. It's been few and far between since mid-July. At this point I'm hoping (as painful as it is right now) that she keeps nursing now and then until the baby's birth. I truly believe that tandem nursing, esp compared to a situation where the toddler doesn't wean until third trimester, makes the adjustment easier. Not to mention an older child nursing makes engorgement that much easier! Esp with my oversupply issues. :)

Awwww! So awesome ladies!
I've been nursing since 2001 with no break. I tandem nursed the girls briefly.
And yes, re: nursing an older child and engorgement. There were many times I had to ask Lucy to help mama out.
