DS 2 was breech until about 8 months. I did some things that were recommended here at SN and he turned and I had a successful VBAC.

DD/DS 3 is currently breech the midwife says not to worry lots of time to turn, but knowing how hard it was for DS 2 at 8 months I want to start some "techniques" now....

BUT I FORGET WHAT TO DO!! LOL!! HELP PLEASE

I've read that acupuncture and moxibustion can be very effective in turning the baby.

Put an ironing board against a couch and lie on it with your head down. Do this for 30 minutes at a time. If you can, first soak in a deep tub of warm water or go swimming. Your entire body should be submerged. There's a chiropractic technique too, but you might have some trouble finding one that knows it.

Can you tell if your baby is breech without an u/s? How about at 30 weeks?

I've pretty much only felt kicks/punches and hiccups in my lower right abdomen for the last couple of days, and I'm wondering which end is up. I'm thinking the baby is probably right side up. I don't want to have another u/s!

Thank you for your help... I will try what you said... if you think of anything else let me know!!

ubertulip: my midwife was able to tell with my last preg. after 30 wks. so you may want to ask your doc. This time I knew it was breech by the kicks but the u/s confirmed it.

We used hypnosis. It worked (turned in 12 hours, and that was at 39.5 weeks!). You can try finding a hypnobirthing instructor and seeing if they'll work with you.

Jumping in on your thread, January

You said you could tell baby was breech by the kicks. At my 23 week u/s Dr said my baby was breech. Can you tell me what the kicks feel like?
I feel flutters right below my sternum and a little to the left or right. They are totally in front. I don't really feel "kicks". I do seem to be carrying much lower this time around, with a wide, kind of flat on the bottom lower abdomen.
Thanks!

Aimee:

The baby KICKS... They are pretty strong little jabs in the front of my belly or on my right side. Yesterday I felt what I think was a leg. The reason I think it was a leg.... I know he is bottom down and I felt what was like a "adult finger" under the skin. DH felt it too then while DH was rubbing the leg it kicked out! TOO FUNNY.

Also I feel the head if I lean forward. THe head is up under my ribs. Good luck with guess that part! it is so fun!!
