Has anyone read this book? I just finished it. In case you haven't, it's written by two women who work at IBM. The milk memos started because IBM has a lactation room. A mom back at work for the first day wrote a note to see if anyone else was using the room. They then kept a notebook there to write messages. The book is a mix of the notes (I think some are original and some are fictitious based on the real ones) plus a general how-to guide for being a working and/or pumping Mom.
I really enjoyed it. I mostly just read the memos since I've got the pumping thing down, but it seems like it would be a great book to give to a new mom who is going back to work and will be pumping. One thing that I liked was that the authors go with a lot of "do what works for you" advice. For example, they talk about not pumping and using formula at daycare, extended nursing and pumping, solely pumping, pumping up to a year and then nursing when together, etc. I'm putting it on my gift list along with Nursing Mother, Working Mother.
