How far along were you when you were diagnosed with your medical condition or high risk pregnancy?

I was 9 weeks when I found out by routine u/s that I was carrying triplets, that automatically made it a high risk pregnancy for me. I was put on bedrest at 20 weeks, and I went into PTL (preterm labor) in my 26th week. I stayed in the hospital on bedrest until I delivered at 32 wks, 2 days.

I was 26 weeks for my first hospitalization (pre-e), and then modified bedrest which quickly turned to total bedrest. 2 more hospitalizations and delivery at 36 weeks.

I wasd dx'ed with early diliation @ 32 weeks and put on bedrest for 4 weeks. I was 1/2 cm when I started bedrest, and 4 cm when I got off. I was told by my dr. that she would not stop the baby from coming if labor started 24 hours or 5 weeks.

My water broke 1 week later, at 37 weeks. Ds was 6 lb, 14 oz.

It was my first pregnancy.

I was 22 weeks when the IUGR was diagnosed, though I had already been under the watch of a perinatologist from the beginning.

Right after I had discovered I was pregnant, I felt a lot of pain on one side, and my obstetrician suggested I see a perinatologist to make sure it wasn't ectopic. All clear on the ectopic front, but he discovered in the ultrasound that I had a septate uterus (with just a small partial septum), so he wanted to follow my pregnancy just to make sure everything progressed well. Turned out to be a non-issue. But at 22 weeks the peri discovered that the growth had suddenly slowed down dramatically - practically stopped - and my amniotic fluid level was low, so that's when I went on bedrest. Was hospitalized at 28 weeks.

I was at about 30 weeks when my blood pressure started to creep up, and they started seeing me more frequently because of worries about preeclampsia. At 33 weeks, I gained nine pounds in four days, plus developed traces of protein in my urine, and they admitted me to the hospital for two nights and gave me steroid injections for Dorothy's lungs. I was discharged to home bedrest for a week, then spent another week on hospital bedrest as things continued to deteriorate. I was induced at 35 weeks. The baby was huge - eight pounds - and the consensus of the pediatricians present was that she looked closer to 37 weeks. I guess she just cooked a little fast. :)

I didn't know anything was amiss until 37w4d when I delivered by emergency c/s. Further tests showed what had happened, but not why. (In-utero stroke, clots within the baby and the fetal side of the placenta, but not on the maternal side and not in me.)

The next pg I was high risk the entire time, but nothing was ever wrong...thankfully.

We still don't know the full reasons behind what happened. We just assume our baby had a clotting disorder that has not been discovered yet - worrisome in that I could have it (or the rest of our kids) too, but in terms of pregnancies- we're done having kids so we'll be thankful and careful about ourselves.

I had no idea anything was wrong until my water broke at 29 weeks, 1 day. I was hospitalized on bedrest until I delivered at 31 weeks, 4 days.

I was 31 wks when I was diagnosed with low amniotic fluid. At 32 wks, I was put on brethine (terbutaline) for regular contractions and given steroid shots for baby's lungs. At 33 wks, I was hospitalized for preterm labor. I was in the hospital for 3 nights and was put on mag-sulfate for 12 hrs to stop labor. Good news was that my amniotic fluid levels had gone up. They dropped again at 35 wks and were dangerously low at 36 wks when I was induced. Baby weighed 6 lbs 14 oz at 36 wk 2 days and doctors agreed that he seemed to be closer to 38 wks than 36 wks (he measured 10/11 days ahead on ultrasound the majority of the pg but I didn't have an early ultrasound so doc didn't change my due date). I was on limited activity/bedrest from 31 wks until I delivered at 36 wks.
