I went out and got a massage compliments of my lovely husband. I had never had one before and I absolutely adored it! It helped a lot just to relax myself from all the emotional and hormonal stress of the goings on.

PEDICURES!! I usually don't bother with them in the winter but during my last trimester which was Dec-Feb a spa pedicure in the massage chair was my favorite thing to do.

Long Leisurely walks....I love walking outdoors and I just let myself take my time.

I also *let* myself slack on holiday decorations and work. We put up about 1/2 of what we normally did.

I ate anything I wanted and didn't stress about it. I definitely gained more weight than I should have, but I loved every pound and quickly lost it both times with exercise and breast feeding.

Pedicure at the spa! :) It was wonderful. I also soaked my feet just about nightly. I had one of those massaging foot spas. It was wonderful.

I also had a pregnancy massage during my second pregnancy. It was a great way to relax. I ended up having my son the following week (3 weeks early).

Naps were a big one for me this last time. I decided that housework could wait. When my older two went down for afternoon nap, I did too.

Lastly, mom's night out. My bestfriend and I went scrapbooking a lot. We call it "Family Preservation Night." We also did dinner, coffee, etc. Was just nice to get out with the girls.

During both pg's I've always babied myself. I've really just looked at my pg as me incubating the babies (or in the case of this pg baby) and growing them to the fullest term possible.

I get pedicures, facials, go shopping by myself and as someone else had mentioned enjoyed eating. I too lost all my weight I gained and then some by following WW's plan.

I rented and am renting again a babybeat. It's a splurge but I love being able to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever I like versus just once a month. :)

PEDICURE!!! I haven't had one this go round, but let me tell you, if I get the opportunity, I'm ON TOP OF IT! Also, if you can get into a water aerobics class... it may seem more like work, but once you are in your third trimester, you look forward to getting in the cool water and being free to move without all the bulk of your pregnant belly! It's truly HEAVEN! Allow yourself sweet treats once in a while (if not on a strict diabetic diet). A slurpee can really cool you off and satisfy a mean sweet tooth. Don't deny yourself help when people offer it! They WANT to help you and it will make you feel so good to have someone there for you. If you can get a total spa day, DO IT! You will feel so refreshed and relaxed!

I'm planning on getting a prenatal massage :D I can't wait!! I'm just waiting until I *need* it a little more before going ;)

I've also been much more generous with myself with rest and sleep. I've found that I just need more rest and have decided not to beat myself up about it, but to enjoy it while I can.

I've also tried to get at least a few things in maternity that I really feel cute in. A lot of maternity clothes make you feel huge, so I've gotten a few shirts that I can wear when we go out that I feel GOOD in (which can be surprisingly hard when your body is changing).

Going to bed early when I felt I needed it. I am in the bed before sundown lots of nights! And ditto the spa pedicure. I want cute feet for delivery!

Good one Mia...the doppler was so comforting to have for me.

I think buying new clothes even when having some in the closet from a previous pregnancy and/or given hand me downs, helped me feel special. Shopping alone was a biggy. Like others have said, eating what I was craving....especially those Baker Square Christmas pies!!! OH YEAH!!!!

Eating whatever I want from wherever I want. It's a HUGE splurge for me because DH and I don't eat out that often, so I've thoroughly enjoyed it! Plus, I've cut back on doing too much in the evenings. I used to do more with friends after work, but don't do that as much. I've been trying to rest more when I can.

I can rational in my mind that I can't keep up with everything( my 2 kids, and a bun in the oven and a house) Eating for 2 is also cool...I can have special things because I'm pregnant and going to gain anyway.
