I'm Expecting!!!

I am currently four weeks pregnant. I found out on Friday! :) We are soooo happy!!! My HCG was 165 and my progesterone was 9+. The normal range for progesterone is between 10-20. My doc put me on Prometrium 2x daily. I will start my shots of Lovenex once daily. I am scared!!! Anyone else out there with this same condition??? :confused:

When I was pregnant with my DD, I was found to have a progesterone level of 9.2 at 9 weeks, 1 day. My doctor at the time didn't get back to me with the results until I was 11 weeks! Anyway, she put me on Prometrium pills (100 mg/day), then tested again one week after I started taking the pills. At that point (12 weeks, 1 day), my progesterone was up to 36.0. As soon as we got the results (this time, only 2 days after the blood test), I stopped taking the supplements. I have a close friends who is an OB/GYN (but sadly does not live close to me), and she says that research results are not conclusive about the benefits of taking progesterone supplements.

This time around, my progesterone level was tested at 8 weeks, 2 days, and was found to be ~13 (I can't remember precisely - don't have that one written down handy here, must be at home)... anyway, I opted not to take supplements this time.

But, FYI, I have no history of miscarriage and also did not get pregnant with IVF (I believe that IVF patients are often given progesterone suppositories at the beginning of pregnancy).
