This weekend we celebrated Dave's 30th birthday. Last night we went to Ruth Chris Steakhouse, and had a lovely dinner. Tonight we had a 'family party' with my folks and a few friends and their kids. It was really nice. My dad made his famous chocolate mousse crown cake (tradition) and we BBQ'd, the weather held out! :)

It was a really lovely, relaxing weekend!

Not much happenings here....DH had a lot of homework this weekend, but I managed to run out and get some errands done. And I got my hair done. Exciting, huh? We dont get "quiet" weekends all that often..once the holidays roll around, we never get a quiet weekend. DH has today off so I think we may take DD to Chuck-eCheese.

I took the kids to a birthday party Sat. evening. It was a costume party. They had a ball. Yesterday, we went on a hayride at the pumpkin patch. It was great. The weather was gorgeous. Today, it is cold and dreary. :(

Friday took Maria (the Italian Dr.) with me to the High School football game. It was misting and cold but she had a ball anyway. I was really glad to get home. Saturday we went to the Air and Space museum near Dulles. Sat. night we watched Shrek II in the basement theater. Sunday we got pumpkins and carved them and then went to the Disney on Ice show. DS#2 is also sick with a horrible congestion thing. I pray I do not get because it makes him wheeze and he doesn't have asthma and I do. DH was gone all weekend with the cadets doing a Ranger challenge. He got home in time to mow the grass and go to the ice show.

Saurday we took Zak to Cubaree - Cub Scout camp out. We have a great scout camp and the boys had a great time. Zak hit the bulls eye on both the bb gun target and the archary! He was so excited and so into it. He sucked in every word the instructor said like a sponge. Mark camped with him but I went home. We wore ourselves out and vegged on the sofa all day Sunday.
