I just hired a doua for this, my last birth . My hubby says it's too much money but this is our 5th so I feel like I deserve it. I meet with her again January 14th to start making plans, I am excited and hope we have the same ideas on how things should be.

Darn right you deserve it! :) And your baby and husband deserve it too. You know, money is money. You are going to spend it on something. Why not on something this important?

Your husband may wish you'd done it sooner. I know mine was upset the last time when it looked like we'd 'only have ONE doula' for Brendan's birth (we ended up with two, though). He got spoiled by having two doulas the first time, LOL! He wouldn't DREAM of doing it without at least one. :D

(We only paid for one the second time, and the first time they were friends who had the appropriate experience, so they did it for free...)
