I've been in bed for the last 2 days with a stomach virus and this did not help. Bonnie called yesterday to tell me that some Rangers in Jeremy's company were killed last week. These guys were apparetly not a part of his unit, but part of the company. Bonnie has no details to share and was told not to ask Jeremy about it. So we can't even find out if he knows about it, which he probably does or if he knew these guys or if he was on the same mission. It's not been on the news here, but she said it was on the Columbus GA news. I'm trying not to dwell on it. It's just too close. I try to only vision him on the base, hanging out, not actually doing anything dangerous. This doesn't help.

I'm so sorry. It's so hard, isn't it? I'm sure he knows about it as news travels fast on overseas posts. I'm glad you and Bonnie are able to talk to one another. I always think that the only other person on this earth as frightened as I am about DH's safety is his mother. That will bond you and Bonnie.
Hang in there. News in general can really be frightening. :( Write him a letter tonight....it always makes me feel a little better.
{{HUGS}} to you, to Jeremy and to Bonnie.

:( I am so sorry! Are you able to stay in contact with him through e-mail? That always makes me feel a little bit better. My prayers are with you! I also hope that you feel better soon! HUGE (((((HUGS)))))!

Thanks ladies. He doesn't check his email often. Mostly just phone calls. Bonnie talked with him today. I'm a little anxious to hear from him now.

I found info on the fallen Rangers. doesn't look like enemy fire and even though it doesn't make it less tragic it does ease my stomach just a tad.
Here's the link (http://www.militarycity.com/valor/1019917.html)
If you go back to the fallen main paige you can also see the other soldiers name. :( tears...

Ok you guys should have corrected me! I obviously am not around the military enough. Bonnie set me straight.
The Unit is larger than the company. So the fallen rangers - God bless them, were a part of Jeremy's Unit or Batallion, but not his company. I got it down now.
I talked to him today. He sounded tired. I've taken up a collection of dvd's from friends and my church group. I've gotten quite a few and it seemed to cheer him up that they were coming.

Glad that he's looking forward to the DVD's. :) That's nice of your friends at church.
