Jeremy is now deployed. They were stopping in Europe and then on to the war. I can not say where he'll be, but please pray for him because his job is dangerous. Just a couple of days before they left he came down with a bad case of bronchitis and had a fever of over 104. He went to the hospital where they gave him lots of meds. He said that he was feeling better, but I don't belive him. I think he just didn't want me to worry. Yeah like I'm not worried. So far I have kept the news turned off and I'm doing ok because I am away from home at my parerents house. I think once I get home and back into routine and hearing the news again, I might be a little more freaked out. Also his wife was supposed to fly in for my nephew's wedding this weekend and to spend some time with us, but she came down with the bronhitits too. Poor girl.

Your son will be in my thoughts. I can't imagine how difficult it is to have a son over there. Take care.

Hugs to you. I also can't imagine having a child over there. :( I hope you hear from him soon and often. Do you have his address yet? I swear, I think care packages may help ME more than they do DH. He'll be in my thoughts, as will you. Hang in there.

Hang in there! And keep the news turned off. I used to make sure I was in front of the tv by 10:00 so I could catch all the news. Now that DH is in Iraq I don't turn it on until 10:10 so I can make sure I miss all the gloom and doom about Iraq. Not hearing that has made it easier for me to go on with my day with him gone.

Sending your spouse is one thing. Sending your child is something completely different. My heart goes out to you!

Thanks for all the support ladies! It means so much to me and dil.

I've heard from him twice. He says he'll be able to call often. He asked for a list of stuff which I hope to get in the mail to him today or tomorrow. He said not to send anything bigger than a shoebox or it will take longer. What about a priority mail box from the post office? Do you think that will take longer? I'm new at this. ;)

ALways send things priority mail or it won't get to him till he's back HOME! :D

He's right, though. Stick to small boxes. The PO has those small boxes with a flat $7 rate to ship regardless of the weight. I try to stick to those and it seems he gets them in 2-3 weeks.

For some reason anything you ship directly from Amazon gets there in lightening time. I want to know their secret! But, if you're sending books or movies, have them ship it and it'll be there in a week!

Great news that you'll hear from him regularly! Now that posts there are more established, the communication is MUCH better! :D
