Anyone going on VACATION?

Hi ladies,
What are your summer travel plans? Anyone going on vacation this year?

DH is gone until the end of July so our plans are not until August. My mom and dad had planned to come for the 4th but that isn't happening :( We did convince my mom to come in August so she can do vacation with us. I think we are going to just do Virginia stuff since we haven't had a chance to check out all the stuff around here yet. Probably Williamsburg and that area.

Anything fun planned??

The only trip we are planning right now is two nights in Disney-ALONE! I can't wait. It will be for my birthday and my neighbor/friend will watch our kids for the 3 days.

We have people coming to visit us this summer, but of course, we live in FL.

I"m already there! :D I'm in MN nad will be till August. DH will meet us here sometime near the later part of July for his R&R. When he goes back to Iraq, the kids and I will go back home so dd can start school.

Well, here in Australia we're in winter, not summer ;) But the weather is now perfect as wintertime is just beautiful. We're taking a trip in 2 weeks to go to Brisbane, The Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. We'll be going to Dreamworld (kind of Disney in Australia on a smaller scale) and Seaworld and to the Australia Zoo (where Steve Irwin the Crocodile HUnter is). We're very excited!!

Nope. We went to Newport for 2 days but DH had his graduation and had to work a good part of the time. Plebe summer at the USNA starts this coming week, and DH is one of only 2 battalion officers for it, so I won't be seeing him from 4am till 11-12pm every day until August, and then the brigade reforms.... and schedules do not get much better till holiday time. But Dave is in charge of the Army Navy game logistics again this year, so well.... until after that (early Dec) it will be too busy for any vacation. And well, I am due on Jan 16th, so.... no real trips for us for awhile. lol

Thats okay.... I can not complain too much. We live near my family and in what I believe to be one of the most beautiful cities in the country.... so the girls and I will 'vacation' ourselves in our own back yard so to speak. ;) We onmly have a year left here so I will enjoy it to the fullest, whether DH can be with us or not. AT least he will be home most nights, and isn't deployed - like I said I feel lucky.

we are done with our vacation. my parents rented a beach house for a week last week. it was nice and relaxing, i love it there. dh of course was gone but he came home on thursday and got to spend two days there. of course he is the type who complains at the beach...doesn't like sand in his shorts, why are those sand crabs so close, what just brushed up against me in the water, yuck this water tastes nasty.
