Hi ladies.:) I'm at a complete loss as to how to get our house back in order. I've done what I'm famous for...I've started 2-3 projects at the same time and now I can't get ahead. I know it sounds silly but when my house is a mess it just down right depresses me and, right now, it's pretty bad. If a robber came to our house, he'd think we were already robbed!!

Does FlyLady work? How long did it take to catch on to everything? Talk to me about your experiences about FlyLady ... I'm hoping this will help me get out of my rutt.

Thanks for your thoughts.:)

Hi Susan! :)

I like FlyLady and I use some of her ideas. The key, I think, is to take what works for you and leave the rest. I wish I had time to write more, but I'll add more to this thread next week when I'm able to be online more often, okay?

Did you read the FlyLady interview (http://www.storknet.com/guests/flylady.htm) in our cubby? How did you hear about her? We were doing weekly FlyBuddy threads here... I have missed the last two weeks, but I just started a new one (http://www.storknotes.com/showthread.php?p=2122561#post2122561) now. It would be great to get a group started again, now that summer's here! I know it helps to get me motivated when I know others are checking on me. ;) You should join in, Susan!

I haven't followed the system too closely, but the philosophy behind it is very good. I have a hard time keeping up with the emails, but I try to read only those that pertain to me. I've learned alot that way.

What I've noticed more than anything is the change in my attitude and thinking. That's made the biggest difference. I used to get so discouraged because I didn't have time to do a job perfectly from start to finish. Or I would think "I only have 10 minutes and since I can't finish the job in that time, there's no point in starting". Now I'll say "I'll do as much as I can in 10 minutes" and its amazing how much you can actually do in that time! Doing what you can, even if its only a little, is still better than doing nothing.

One of Flylady's favourite lines is "you can do anything for 15 minutes!" There's alot of wisdom in that! :)

Keep us posted! :)

I've tried to follow her system on 3 occassions. It's a great system, but it doesn't work for me. Then, a couple of months ago, I "modified" it a bit, to better fit my home and now it's GREAT! I still check into the website a lot, and I still do a lot of Kelly's missions. The theory behind the program is wonderful, but I think we need to adapt it to our own homes a bit to find that perfect fit.
