(cross posted a few places...)

YAY, Elisabeth Hallett is a guest on SN! (http://www.storknet.com/guests/hallett.htm)

She writes about very cool stuff, both in the everyday experience of motherhood (though the often-unspoken parts - the intense, profound, often spiritual opening to a whole new realm when you become a mother...), and the somewhat less common but also really intensely cool experience of prebirth communication.

I wrote the SN review for her book Stories of the Unborn Soul: The Mystery and Delight of Pre-Birth Communication. (There are links on the expert page for the reviews of her books...)

Did you ever have a connection to your child before he or she was born? Did you dream of a relative bringing the soul to you, or telling you whether it was a girl or a boy? Did you feel a presence before you even conceived, or did you just *know* that it was a girl or a boy (and were you right?)? If you had a pregnancy loss, did you wish you could talk to the soul and know for sure if the soul was content, or did you get a feeling that the soul would return as another child? It happens more than you think!

Did you feel like the world had turned upside down when your baby was born? Did your beliefs about religion, politics, the environment, recycling, school, violence, etc., change or intensify? Did you suddenly become horrified at events in the news, beyond any previous response? Did you cry or pray desperately when there was news of a hurt or missing child? (I know I certainly did all those things!)

Elisabeth talks about this stuff in her books. Very important, and very seldom discussed, IMHO.

Please, go ask her some questions. I'd love to see what more she has to say. :)

Hi Hedra, I did look for her books at my local esoteric bookstore but they didn't carry them.

I'm curious about what she says also!

You pretty much have to order them online (though a bookstore can order them for you). They are published in smaller batches and the publisher doesn't do huge promotions and sales pushes to small bookstores. (the things I learn about publishing, now that I'm trying to become an author myself!)
