Hemorrhage near Placenta

I just received a call from my doctor saying that I have a hemorrhage next to my placenta. I don't undertand how this can happen. I have been having a lot of cramping and wierd paines. I feel like I am pulling the muscles of my lower back when I am laying on my back and moving my legs. Does anyone ever feel any discomforts similar to these?

Hello, I have had major hemmorages with both my pregnancies. Both at 12-13 weeks, and the pregnancy continued. Mine was caused by a hematoma. I was on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. I did have the same discomforts. i found it helpful to lay on my side with a pillow between my knees, hang in there! :)
