How did it go?

I am so jealous. They do something like that here at a hotel a few miles away and every year I say next year is my time. Well Next year is MY time! ;)

It was just fabulous! There were about 75 women in a huge conference room that was open 24 hours. One woman did just that. She stayed up all Saturday into Sunday. She has 6 kids and isn't able to do anything while at home. She completed 70 pages.

I achieved my personal goal. I got 27 pages done which completed my sister's childhood book (I'm doing the book for my mom who doesn't want to set up the book). Now my mom will journal what was on the back of the photos (I wrote it on Post-Its). I also got some titles done for Julia's baby book. The book is done, but I needed some titles and journaling. And I got about 20 pages layed out for my childhood book. It was really productive.

If that weren't enough, it was an all-inclusive week end and besides meals, we had morning and afternoon snacks including a chocolate fountain for dipping fruit, Rice Krispie treats, cookies and pound cake one day and Bananas Foster the next! I definitely got spoiled in 2 days!

PaulaSue you absolutely should do it next year. The two consultants who hostess-ed this one were discussing doing it again in six months and I'm thinking that I'd like to go. Finishing that book was really great.

ETA: I had use of the Sizzix and Xyron machines. Just awesome! One of the gals in my monthly crop nights has the main part of the Sizzix machine so I ended up buying a Sizzlets alphabet pack and the converter piece to use with her machine. The alphabet (Girls Are Weird) is shadow-style and too cute AND 40% off at www.sizzix.com
