I've had a problem with DD's clothes that is new to me, seeing as how she's my first girl.

The cute little crocheted thread borders that seem to be attached to half her clothes start unraveling and eventually entirely disintegrate. Once it starts, it's pretty much impossible to stop.

Can you buy replacement border? What do you put on in its place? The necklines and sleeves of these outfits look pretty naked without them, and some times the edges are unfinished without them.

Any suggestions?

When it comes to clothing, I'm all thumbs. I can only do straight lines and 90 degree angles! :D

If you can remove the damaged edging completely, and just want a "detail" for attractiveness, fabric stores sell all kinds of ribbon, and edgings. I made a poncho for DD earlier this season and found some beautiful ribbon with an embroidered design in it and just sewed that along the base of the poncho. I'd take a walk through a fabric store and see what you could replace the edging with.

I have no advice on how to REPAIR the edging you already have as I wouldn't even begin to know how to do that....sorry :(
