View Full Version : Nipple holes ?

I forgot when do you know when your little one is ready to move up to a nipple that has more than one hole in it?

I don't remember either. I think when they are 4-5 months old, but it probably depends on the baby. We are still in the stage 1. Probably when I notice a difference in the feedings (like how quickly they go, how much burping is needed, etc.), I'll try out the stage 2 and see how it goes.

I'm not sure what bottles you're using, but both my boys pretty much followed the Avent nipple recommendations. The first switch was at about 2 months from a size 1 to a size 2. Now I don't remember if it's more holes or just a bigger hole, though, and it hasn't even been that long!

I always knew it was time to switch to a new nipple when it started taking longer to feed them the same amount of formula. Feedings would go from 10 - 15 minutes to 30 minutes or more. HTH. :)

Mary I am using the Avent bottles too. Thanks for the tip.
BTW..... your boys are adorable. I looked at their websites and you have some real cuties. Also you need to update them. Eric's gallery is not working because you have to update the site.

Thanks for letting me know! We have it set up that the reminder for Eric's website goes to DH's yahoo account and he stopped checking it regularly. I'll go update it now. :)

ETA: I updated the text, but I need to put new pics on it. There's never enough time, is there? ;) Thanks for looking!

Tiffany - I just got a chance to look at your cuties! They look so much alike. They're beautiful! I love the pic on Shay's website of you and the two kids. What a great picture! :)

Thanks.......... They both look so much like their dad. I was just the carrier all the genes came from daddy. My dd hair is going to turn blond I think. Oh well they have my brains ;)
