Using a midwife?

Hello! I'm newly pregnant with my second and would love a homebirth.

My first pregnancy I had gestational diabetes. My delivery was a surprise vaginal breech (discovered at 8 cm).

Do you all think that either of these factors would rule me out for a homebirth with a midwife?

I think you'd be a great homebirth candidate. You're a rare breed - first baby a vaginal breech!

You live in a good area to find a midwife. I'd start making some phone calls. Find someone who feels comfortable with your history. Also, start taking care of yourself right now to prevent the GD from happening again if you can!
