Shoulder Distortia

Hello all, I am eight weeks pregnant. I have a fifteen month old that was born with mild shoulder distortia, which disappeared after one month from birth. My OB is concerned that this baby could be born with the same problem and recommends a C-Section. (My first born was a vaginal delivery) Apparently, shoulder distortia can be devastating and a C-Section will reduce the risk of occurence. Does anyone know anything about this topic? Could not find any resources on it. Thanks for your help!

How big was your first baby?

I have heard of shoulder dislocation due to trying to deliver a large baby vaginally, but not shoulder distorcia. I know that it can lead to Erb's Palsy, when the nerve to the arm is pulled away from the spinal column trying to get the baby out.

What symptoms did your 15 month old have when it was diagnosed?
