Kangaroo Korner now has

an adjustable cotton pouch. Has anyone tried it? I'm still searching for the perfect sling for my soon-to-be newborn. Since I'm due in the middle of a scorching hot Texas summer, the lighter weight of the cotton pouch appeals to me more than the fleece.

For those who have the fleece version, refresh my memory please. Do/did you find it easy to use for the newborn period, including nursing?

I don't have that one, but I just ordered one of her solarveil slings (there are a few irregulars selling for half-price). You might want to consider one of those for the hot summer - you can wear them in the water because they dry very fast and they protect against UV rays. They are supposed to be very lightweight and they wick away moisture, which is supposed to help with sweating problems. I haven't gotten mine yet, though, so I'm just parroting the marketing that got me to buy one. ;)
