...bah, but I'm doing it anyway. Yes, yes, it's one of those sappy good-bye posts. :(
I just wanted to thank everyone who has been so supportive to me over the course of the last few years that I've been here at StorkNet. Many of you have been true inspirations to me and many of you have offered incredible advice, support and even funnies to keep me going when times were down. I will never forget that. Unfortunately, however, my time has come to move on to other pastures so that I can chew my cud and do a little "mooooooo"ing.
My decision was not based on this supposed "mass exodus" that is leaving here, nor is it based on any censoring issues or anything of the like. Mine is simply a matter of just not having the time, nor the finances, to really continue to be a true contribution to the board. I feel as if all of my info (username, avatar, etc.) are taking up unnecessary space and bandwidth.
I'm getting married in 16 days. :eek: It doesn't seem possible that it is that soon! But it is. On top of that we're selling our house, looking to buy another house closer to work (our 2-hour one-way commute is just killing us), chasing around a toddler, trying to find a way to put off ankle/foot surgery until after the wedding, not to mention that actual time we spend at work. As you can see, we're a little insanely busy. All of the aforementioned is taking up every cent of our finances and savings, not to mention all of our time, and between the two, it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to pay to have access to a site where I'm hardly ever able to post anyway. KWIM? And since I doubt I'll be able to really find the time in the next week or so to post this, I figured now was as good a time as any.
So, again, thank you to all of you who have been a sort of life-thread for me over the last few years. I truly appreciate each and every one of you to the depths of my heart. Thank you and I love my SN sisters and I will miss all of you - even if we had our little disagreements. ;)
