I guess I didn't have to worry about going more than two weeks early. We had our little girl this morning. I thought I was having false labor all day. I took a bath and the contractions went away. Then the phone rang about 11 pm Friday and I went downstairs to answer it and my water broke. The contractions weren't bad at all. I called my midwife and told her my water broke but she didn't need to come right then because my contractions weren't regularly spaced.

About 3 am I called her as I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes. When she arrived I asked her to check me (I expected to be 1 or 2 cm dilated because my other births at hospitals the contractions were soooo much worse and it took so long to dilate). But I was 8.5 cm. An hour later we went to the bedroom and I tried pushing. It was harder to push out this one then my other two. I guess because I felt everything. (The other times I was in epidural bliss). At 5:15am our first girl was born. Yeah for homebirth and yeah for not having to take anything to get labor going.
