Please tell me your favourite children's book. I am after books to suit Children under 1 and children aged 3.

Anything by Margret Wise Brown for my older two (when they were babies) and Abigail LOVES Snuggle Wuggle (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0152021590/ref=nosim/storknet00). For a three year old, One Moose, Twenty Mice (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1841481297/ref=nosim/storknet00)
One Moose, Twenty Mice (Beth's favorite last year- she's only three but pretty advanced) or Madeline (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0670445800/ref=nosim/storknet00) for a girl, my son loves Mike Mulligan (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0395169615/ref=nosim/storknet00)
right now. Funny thing is these were both in their school curriculum this year and they already loved them. :)

Right now my kids are really into the Snappy Little books, here is one example The Snappy Little Farm (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1571459049/ref=nosim/storknet00). Another favorite is One Duck Stuck (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0763603341/ref=nosim/storknet00). Other winners are anything by Sandra Boynton or Dr. Seuss.

When Susy was a baby, her favorite books were:

Barnyard Dance (http://amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1563054426/ref=nosim/storknet00) by Sandra Boynton (and everything else by her, as well!)

Good Night, Gorilla (http://amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0399230033/ref=nosim/storknet00) by Peggy Rathmann - this is the first book that she really seemed to understand, not just listen to.

and Jamberry (http://amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0694006513/ref=nosim/storknet00) by Bruce Degen.

I think each of those books would be interesting to an older child, too.

Now that she's older, she likes a wide variety of books and her favorite changes every few weeks. I listed some of the best books we've read lately in this thread (http://www.storknotes.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2377), which has lots of wonderful suggestions from all of us. :)

My favorite book growing up was "Where The Wild Things Are". Some other good books are "Rainbow Fish" and "Stellaluna".

I like Dr Suess books. Right now Brett's favorite is "Oh The Places You'll Go"
