What are you reading this week? What are you looking forward to reading soon?
You can just list the book or books you're working on, or you can add a few sentences about them, or you can write a short review for us, if you like!

I'm half-way through The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, and I'm enjoying it. The writing flows really well, so it's an easy read. The main characters are delightful.
I just started Love Medicine, and I know I will love this book, too. :)

I am reading The Saving Graces by Patricia Gaffney and Love Medicine. I haven't gotten very far in either, though, so I don't really have any comments yet.
Next up: The Birchbark House by Louise Erdrich, a children's book similar to Little House on the Praire, but about a Native American girl. I'm really looking forward to this one and have to thank Caryl for telling me about it!

Great, Susan! I just got The Birchbark House, too. Maybe we can get a small group together to read this one. :)

I am almost half-way through Strangers by Dean Koontz and then Love Medicine if it ever arrives in the mail!

I'm currently reading Fannie Flagg's Standing in the Rainbow and plan to re-read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets before seeing the movie next weekend.
Susan, I read The Saving Graces a few months ago and enjoyed it. I had trouble with the everchanging narrator, though. I really prefer just one or two narrative voices, and switching between the four women was a challenge for me. I had to regroup and switch gears at the beginning of each section. I thought the support and friendship the women provided each other was wonderful, something I'd love in my own life.
