I have thick, wavy, coarse hair and I'm looking for a new shampoo and conditioner. Any suggestions? What did you use that you didn't like (so that I can avoid some mistakes)?
Thanks.:D

Right now we are using the Suave BioBasics. I have thick, coarse hair and it is really great. Not as expensive as BioLage but seems to be just as good!

My hair is exactly like that. My favorites are Fructis and Pantene. Love em both. I used to use VO5, that's pretty good too. Don't remember why I switched.
I wasn't too impressed by Thermasilk.

Hi Susan!! I have thick, curly, fine hair and love Bumble & Bumble. The extra-rich conditioner is one the best conditioners I've ever used! Awesome stuff! :)

I tried Fructis on the recommendation of the women here and have loved it. My hair is shiny and soft, and seems cleaner than it does with other shampoos. :)

Oh my gosh - you HAVE to try Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner! My hair is thick and tends to have a mind of its own, but this S & C makes soft and so easy to deal with. Its a little hard to find, but most salons have it, like the ones in super Walmarts for sure.
Good Luck!

I've had the best success with Thermosilk. I've tried Pantene, Fructis & Dove & didn't care for any of them, although I liked the scent of Fructis. HTH somehow! :)

I love some of the different shampoo's Aveda puts out.
But, when I am being frugal which is all the time, I like Fructis. Its cheap too :) I have had terrible experience with Pantene, that stuff leaves tons of build-up. Thermosilk was gross last time I used it. The Thermosilk conditioner left a film on my hands that I had to wash off with soap! Water wasnt even tough enough to get that film off of my hair or skin! That was a long time ago when it first came out, I dont know if they have changed the formula since then.

I posted this a little while ago, I started using Herbal Essence Intense Conditioning Formula ( I think). It's in a light green bottle. It works so good. No tangles and it really does "make your hair softer after one washing!" This coming from someone who normally uses salon brand shampoo/conditoner.
