I'm talking about the ones in the ad where you put the pouch in the microwave and the steam that is released cleans the oven. Do these work well? I hate cleaning baked on food out of our microwave and would gladly invest in these if they make the job easier!

Yes I've tried them and yes they work. But, they don't necessarily help lingering odors and have a bit of a chemically smell themselves, but they get the grime off.

Clover, how long does the chemical smell last? I'm in the m/s stage of my pregnancy right now so I may have to wait a while to try them.:(

Not real long....until you cook again and it retains the odor of THAT food. It is sort of lemony and not real strong ...if you can stand that smell.

I LOVE them things! Couldn't live without them. I have a very messy husband who has the habit of microwaving food that explodes. It was a nightmare to clean before, but now, just heat the pouch for one minute, wipe out, done.
I actually think they smell good, like lemon. :)

yes, I do all the time and I love it! Esp. when your DH who doesn't clean it, uses the microwave with out a cover on stuff
