one of jasmyn's outfits got stained IN the wash, i have no idea how, but it was dirtier when it came out than when it went in. it looks almost like rust or something. it isn't on any other outfits though.

it has been thru the wash a couple times since, and nothing is working. i tried spray n wash, and it didn't help at all. whatever it is is set right in too.

any idea what would get this stain out? coloursafe bleach? oxy-clean? any ideas? i hate for her not to wear this, it's brand new!

thanks!

(i know it would help if i knew *what* the stain was...unfortunately i am clueless in that department.)

i would soak it in a couple scoops of oxi clean overnight. My son got choc on his shirt, soaked it and it all came out

I always use Oxyclean and have had great luck with it.

Here's another vote for the Oxi-Clean. Can't go wrong and it has gotten out dried on old stains on my clothes.

I vote Oxi-Clean too. Nothing else works as well for me.

My favorite stain remover is a combo of Zout and powdered Tide with bleach. I can find Zout at all the local grocery stores and at Wal-Mart. I like even better than Oxi-Clean. I soak the garment in Zout and Tide water and just work on the stains every now and then. If it's really stubborn, while it's wet I sprinkle some Tide on the stain and let it sit. I have had amazing results with this procedure. It's time consuming but worth it to rescue a piece of clothing!

There is a product specifically for this problem. I think it's called Wink or Winky's rust remover for laundry. You can find it at a grocery store.

It depends on the stain.

I find that Oxy Clean works great on blood and red gatoraid, lol.

Zout is by far my favorite stain remover and I use it for everthing but blood and that darned red gatoraid. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes and then rub the stain together or use a soft toothbrush to work the stain out...it comes out within a few seconds. It works great on formula stains and those orange veggie baby food stains.
